Good news this week! We have a new investigator with a baptismal date! Wahoo! It's actually a pretty cool story. We went tracting last week and this girl let us in. She seemed pretty interested, and said that we could come back a different day. Well, we went back on Saturday and we were able to teach her the first lesson. It was awesome. The Spirit was so strong, and she was asking lots of really good questions. It was one of those lessons where afterwards, you are just super happy cause it went so well. I love those. It was really great. She's not Cambodian, but that's ok. The weird thing is that the date we set is on Christmas. She said that she feels by then she can be ready, which is awesome cause she's the one that picked it. It's weird though, because that is during my last transfer... It just feels weird that it's already that time where I'm setting dates for things during my last transfer. That's way weird. haha.
And to make things even better, right after we taught her that lesson, we were riding our bikes back down the street, and we contacted this other guy that was super interested too. He wants us to come back and teach him now. Awesome! This week was definitely the best on we've had since I got here to Providence.
Oh yeah, and on that same street, we tracted into this way awesome cambodian lady that is really nice. I talked to her for a while, and Elder Pierson just stood there smiling. haha. it was funny. But he likes listening to me talk to the Cambodians. But anyway, we gave this lady the address to the church and she said she'd try to come. Well, she didn't, so we stopped by after church. She said she was sorry that she didn't come, but that she wants to go next week. She also said that she wants to feed us dinner sometime, so that will be exciting. I thought I was going to miss eating cambodian food since I'm not officially in the program anymore, but there is a member here that owns a cambodian restaurant so we get it for free like once a week, and if random investigators want to feed us, I'm down with that! haha.
So I think that's all the exciting news for this week. At least all I can think of, anyway. haha. We've been doing lots of baptismal interviews lately, by the way. It seems like our district leaders in the zone are doing good things, so that's always fun.
Alrighty well I think Imma go now. We're gonna go hang out with Don for pday. Board games is what is on the menu, I believe. Ok well, have a great week. I love you all! byebye

"Broken Leg" Ha Ha!
Hey guess what? Tomorrow is one year from my broken leg joke! HAHAHAHAHA. I still laugh about that every time I think about it or tell that story to another missionary. Oh man, that was so great. haha. :)
Ok well, I don't have a lot of time left on the computer cause I was busy with other emails so sorry if this is a short one. I'll do my best to type fast though. This week was cool. Unfortunately, we don't have any super exciting news for anyone getting baptized, but we're working on that. Especially with the cambodians. We've tracted into them, and so far it's been alright. I'm still excited for it to start picking up, and I am really expecting it to. We got to do lots of Zone Leader stuff this week that was pretty exciting. I guess. haha. I won't explain about that though.
Well, since I don't have a lot of time left, I just wanted to ask how it was talking to Don on the phone. You didn't mention it in your email, mom, so I just wanted to see what you thought of him. He's such a funny guy. haha. I'm glad he's back now. He said he's going to come visit next summer again so I'll be home for that.
I also wanted to mention one of the coolest people in our ward. Her name is Tabatha. Between her and Don, we get fed any day we don't have a dinner appointment, and it's great. Yesterday was one of the better pdays we've had, and it was thanks to Tabatha and Don. We went down to Newport, which is one of the really rich towns here in RI. It is right on the ocean, and there is an attraction called the cliff walk, which is a walk along the cliffs, overlooking the ocean on one side, and getting to see "the mansions" on the other side. They are just that. Mansions. They are HUGE! I bet one of those things is easily 30 million dollars or more. They were pretty incredible. And they run all along the coastline. You should look it up online. It's pretty sweet. So yeah, that was Tabatha's idea to take us down there. She's so cool. She's known for getting the Elders really awesome Christmas presents and I'm SUPER excited for the one she said she's gonna get me. I won't tell you what it is though. You'll just have to wait to see it. Or Justin can tell you, cause I told him. haha. But yeah, Tabatha's the bomb! She might move to Orem sometime in the future too, so that would be awesome.

Conference
Hello everyone. How was your week? Good. Mine was good too. I'm still lovin Providence. It is a really cool place. I would NEVER want to live here other than as a missionary, but it's a cool place to be. haha. I have come to realize that being a Zone Leader takes a lot of time out of regular missionary work. We do lots of phone calls and lots of extra planning on top of weekly planning for our area, and all that stuff. But, it's fun being able to get to know the other Elders and Sisters better. I'm enjoying it thus far. There aren't a whole lot of stories to tell this week other than that we have one investigator with a baptismal date. He is the son of one of the members in our ward that was baptized relatively recently. He is 9 years old, and is really excited to get baptized. So we get to teach him and hopefully he'll be baptized on the 16th. Cool.
So conference was pretty awesome. I loved all the talks. I felt like this conference was pretty memorable for a lot of reasons. One of those reasons is definetely the announcement of the second Provo temple! That was SO surprising. Totally blew my mind. haha. I realy loved Elder Christofferson's talk about repentance and forgiveness. I thought I learned a lot from his talk. I also really liked Elder Ballard's talk about the name of the Church. I am so glad that he talked about that cause after last conference when President Packer talked about that, I was kinda confused about why we even had mormon.org. But Elder Ballard did a good job clearing up that confusion. I loved the part when he proclaimed that no polygamists, or other fundamentalist groups are a part of our Church. That part was cool. So basically conference was awesome, like it always is. It's weird to think that next conference, I'll be home. huh. Speaking of that, today's my 20 month mark. Crazy, eh? Oh yeah, I saw Caleb in the choir for the Priesthood session. That was cool. I got all excited and wanted to tell everyone that I knew him, but then I realized that nobody else knows him, and they probably wouldn't care all that much if I told them anyway. haha.
What were some of your favorite talks or insights from conference? Hopefully that'll be a good excuse to send me a letter or email for next week. Gives ya something to talk about.
Oh I just thought of something else that was cool. Yesterday in between sessions, we were wondering what we were going to eat for lunch cause we aare out of food at our place. One of our cambodian members (one of the 4 or 5) called us and told us to come to the Khmer temple to get some food. So we headed over there. I didn't even know there was a Khmer temple in Providence. But we got there, and it was a huge party for some reason. We got some food, and I got to talk to a few of the people there. It was pretty cool. Definitely gave me some hope that we can do something with the Cambodian population here. My biggest hope comes from the fact that we actually have some active Cambodian Priesthood holders here. That has been the challenge I've faced my whole mission. But we have some here, and they know lots of friends that are less active or non members so hopefully things will start to pick up soon. I'm excited for it.
